With the lifting of the Coronavirus restrictions, we have resumed our activities. For more information please contact us (details on the left).

Isle of Wight Green Gym is an independent community group with over a decade of volunteering experience. By getting involved in practical conservation work we aim to benefit the countryside of the Isle of Wight, and improve our health at the same time.

We meet every Wednesday morning throughout the year at venues right across the Island. Please click on the links (left) to find out more about us;  to view our current programme click here.

As at  31 May 2022, over the course of 885 sessions held at approx 185 different locations across the Isle of Wight, around 610 people had taken part since we started. Allowing for average attendance, that amounted to over 63,000 man hours!

On our 800th session on 4 September 2019, we worked on a wide variety of tasks in the gardens and car park of the Riverside Centre, Newport. Click here to read our Blog.

In 2009 we were awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award given to volunteer groups for outstanding work in their own communities. Please click here for the full story.
